Vietnam - Hoi An

In the 16th century Hoi An was a thriving commercial port, the international trading centre of Vietnam. A living testament to a fusion of cultures from Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese and European influences, it was designated a World Heritage Site in 1999. Now a wonderfullly laid back fishing town with bags of history it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Vietnam.
